As per a report by the UGC, Delhi accounts for the maximum number of fake universities. Around 8 universities that are not approved by UGC have sprung up in the UT.
Uttar Pradesh
UP holds the 2nd position in housing the maximum number of fake universities. Students must be aware of colleges named Gandhi Hindu Vidyapith, Bhartiya Shiksha Parishad, etc.
Andhra Pradesh
This state has a reputation for housing the top institutes in India however two colleges named Christ New Testament & Bible Open University have been staining their reputation as being fake.
West Bengal
The fourth position is held by West Bengal which has two fake medical colleges. Be aware of the Indian Institute of Alternative Medicine & Institute of Alternative Medicine & Research.
Karnataka
If you have received any admission notification from Badaganvi Sarkar World Open University or St. John’s University, you must not take a step ahead as these are fake.
Maharashtra
As per the UGC notice, Raja Arabic University nestled in Nagour has been reported as violating UGC guidelines and hence marked as a fake university.
Puducherry
Sree Bodhi Academy of Higher Education is reportedly identified as a fake university in Puducherry. Students should remain cautious to avoid any issues.
